CfC Stanbic and China's ICBC to fund 83 MW Kenya power project
The heavy fuel oil plant will be built by private power company Triumph Kenya. ICBC will provide $80 million of the debt financing while CfC Stanbic said in a statement it will provide the rest.

Chinese firm plans solar energy project in Kenya

China-based Dongfang Electric International Corp. will establish a solar power company in Kenya. The company will develop 50 MW of power grid-tied solar energy capacity in Kenya's Nakuru County, which is northwest of the capital city of Nairobi.
