CBK floats new currency printing tender
The Central Bank of Kenya ( CBK) has floated an international tender for printing of paper money (banknotes). The tender closes on July 8 and is open to eligible bidders and joint ventures. According to tender documents posted on its website, the applicants must have an average annual turnover over the last five years of $150 million.
Legal boon for local medical supplies sector
The Government has promised to enforce the law requiring suppliers to source 40 per cent of their goods from the local market, a move that could see a huge growth in the pharmaceutical sector. MEDICAL equipment worth Sh11 million was yesterday delivered at the Mpeketoni District Hospital.
