The construction of the Sh7.4 billion Eldoret-Webuye-Malaba highway which links Kenya to Uganda is making progress. More than 70 kilometres have been tarmacked.

P&G building $174M plant in South Africa
Procter & Gamble Co. is spending $174 million to build a South African plant, creating more than 500 jobs there, the Cincinnati Business Courier reports, citing Johannesburg's Business Day newspaper.

Landlocked Ethiopia has signed agreements with Chinese and Indian companies to construct highways that will connect the Horn of Africa nation with neighbouring Sudan, South Sudan and Kenya.
